Purpose of the role

 

Reporting to the AR Manager, the AR Team Leader is responsible to manage the team invoicing, collections, and resolution of payment issues. The key responsibilities include ensuring the accurate and timely recording of transactions, closely monitoring AR aging reports, implementing effective policies, and collaborating with other departments to optimize overall cash flow.

Playing a crucial role in revenue optimization, bad debt reduction, and fostering strong customer relationships, this role focuses on leading the team to streamline payment processes efficiently and address any billing discrepancies that may arise. The contributions of the AR Supervisor significantly impact the organization's financial health by maintaining a smooth and effective Accounts Receivable process.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise the generation/checking of accurate customer invoices based on approved orders and delivery documentation.
  • Oversee the verification of detailed invoice information, collaborating with sales and supply chain teams to resolve complex billing discrepancies promptly, ensuring seamless transaction processing and precise financial entries.
  • Lead the team in efficiently applying customer payments to relevant accounts, reconciling received payments with outstanding invoices.
  • Address discrepancies promptly, ensuring meticulous and up-to-date financial records.
  • Streamline payment processes and implement advanced strategies to enhance efficiency and minimize errors, guiding team members to follow best practices.
  • Oversee internal and external AR audits, ensuring comprehensive compliance with audit requirements.
  • Maintain robust internal controls, supervise month-end and year-end close procedures, and facilitate accurate financial reporting.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members during audit processes.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying areas for automation and implementing advanced best practices.
  • Optimize workflows, utilizing extensive knowledge and experience to significantly enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of AR operations.
  • Mentor team members in process optimization techniques and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure strict adherence to AR service level agreements, upholding defined standards for processing time, accuracy, and quality.
  • Maintain a high level of service delivery, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and timely resolution of complex queries.
  • Provide guidance to the team for SLA compliance and customer relationship management.
  • Effectively manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate AR-related updates, and ensure clear coordination.
  • Foster strong partnerships to enhance collaboration and achieve shared goals.
  • Lead the team in managing stakeholder interactions and resolving issues promptly.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or other area
  • 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • Mandatory knowledge of Accounting Act
  • Minimum 3 year team management
  • Experience of working in a finance shared services functions is mandatory.
  • Experience of working within regional teams in a matrix environment is a must.
  • English on business professional level and Czech or Slovak is a must.

ABS encompass a broad range of financial activities designed to support businesses in their day-to-day financial operations, long-term planning, and compliance with regulations. These services are crucial for maintaining financial health, making informed decisions, and achieving the overall financial objectives of the organization.  The key outputs of ABS are to provide accounting services including the summarizing and reporting of financial transactions of a business, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.  ABS is also responsible to adhere to multi-jurisdiction financial regulations and reporting requirements, including ensuring compliance with these regulations and ensure accurate and timely reporting to relevant authorities. In addition to this, ABS is to use effectively use financial software and systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data security
