The place of work can be any of the AEI operating markets.


Beverage Innovation&Process Expert supports the AEI (Asahi Europe and International) Innovation agenda by co-owning and co-creating the Regional innovation pipeline, whist also providing brewing support and expertise to improve quality, operational excellence and value to the brewing teams across AEI.



  1. Harmonize innovation, quality with commercial operations. This entails proactively developing compelling ideas, converting them to commercial products and developing a path of commercial success for the product.
  2. Support the Country brewing/innovation teams on product development and optimization of recipe and processes to align with AEI goals
  3. Align all product development with company policies, standards and strategies to ensure technical feasibility of any new products and support innovation teams in developing project budgets and charter.
  4. Active team member of AEI Brewing Communities of Practice to help deliver on their objectives
  5. Work closely with AEI and AGH innovations and/or research teams in their pilot plants and micro-breweries to develop prototypes
  6. Active team member in any new technology and/or process innovation testing and implementation
  7. Work with Third Parties as required when local production facilities are not suitable and ensure compliance with AEI Standards.
  8. Lead the design, build and operation or extension of any current/future planned AEI regional innovation brewery/pilot facility
  9. Support brewing teams across supply chain and production to improve quality, cost optimization and improve utilization materials and capital assets.
  10. Work with brewing and QA teams to improve brewing Standards and audit compliance.




  • 10+ years hands on brewing experience – ideally a mix of large brewery operations and R&D/Innovation experience
  • Preferred experience/knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality standards
  • Requirement to have experience with development of flavoured and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Demonstrated success in the delivery of brewing KPI around production, quality, process and cost improvement.
  • Recognised Master Brewer Qualification
