Beverage Innovation & Process Brewer supports the AEI Innovation agenda by co-owning and co-creating the Regional innovation pipeline, whist also providing brewing support and expertise to improve quality, operational excellence and value to the brewing teams across AEI.

Beverage Innovation & Process Brewer is primarily focused on improving the operational excellence of manufacturing sites by reducing costs and improving efficiencies, whilst ensuring high quality standards are maintained across all sites in AEI. The role will also be expected to support the innovation agenda as required.

Key Responsibilities 

• Support brewing teams across supply chain and production to improve quality, cost optimization and improve utilization materials and capital assets – focus on MEL, Value Engineering, capex and capacity optimisation as well as food safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Active team member of AEI Hub Manufacturing team to help deliver on strategic objectives
• Audit breweries for compliance to AGPRM and Brewing Standards. Work with brewing and QA teams to improve Standards and audit compliance
• Lead and co-ordinate brewing related projects and initiatives, ensuring compliance to project governance, due diligence requirements and alignment with all key stakeholders
• Benchmark best performing breweries in key areas and rollout learnings to support all breweries to achieve new benchmarks
• Support breweries with formal problem solving and ensuring resolution is shared
• Lead task forces and forums to improve performance in identified opportunities
• Support NPD team to ensure technical feasibility of any new products and in developing project budgets and charter.
• Support the Country brewing/innovation teams on product development and optimization of recipe and processes to align with AEI goals as required

Qualification Criteria

• 10+ years hands on brewing experience – ideally in large brewery operations, with deep operational experience.
• R&D/Innovation experience will be an advantage
• Preferred experience/knowledge of manufacturing operations and quality standards
• Demonstrated success in the delivery of brewing KPI around production, quality, process and cost improvement.
• Recognised Master Brewer Qualification
