The place of work can be any of the AEI operating markets.


The Distribution Operations Lead provides functional leadership for optimizing current performance and developing future capabilities in the distribution area across Asahi Europe & International. He or she will be also responsible for defining and coordinating strategic priorities and targets in AEI, providing leadership and expert support in their implementation.


  • Supports creation and implementation of a regional vision for SC operations with focus on Distribution. Determines AEI regional strategic priorities and initiatives in support of the distribution KPIs.
  • Oversees the execution of distribution activities across AEI, ensuring attainment of the distribution KPIs and analyzes the performance issues and opportunities.
  • Oversees planning, prioritization and implementation of the key distribution initiatives within and across the AEI markets. Support of the country-driven portfolio of initiatives and roll-out of the regional programs and procedures. Supports the development on the distribution interface with customer deliveries and on the interface with warehousing.
  • Supports the IBP and budgeting processes in the distribution area and ensures delivery against targets across the region. Ensures a continuous pipeline of improvement projects.
  • Supports development of the functional capabilities in the area of distribution. Manages the network of the AEI distribution professionals and facilitates the best practice sharing.
  • Partners with the Procurement team and leads the regional thinking on the contracting of fleet, distribution and transportation services.
  • Partners with the IT team and provides input into the development of the technology platform in the area of distribution processes. Coordinates functional inputs into the future technology landscape and leads the thinking on the digital agenda.
  • Supports development of the talent pipeline and works with HR to provide trainings to support and drives a culture of performance and accountability, best practice sharing and inclusiveness.
  • Ensures implementation of the CO2 footprint ambition and other relevant aspects of the AEI sustainability agenda.
  • Liaises with the relevant stakeholders on the AEI regional and local level. Serves as a point person for international projects in the distribution area.


  • 5+ years of experience in a managerial position in distribution and warehousing
  • 7+ years of previous experience in distribution and warehousing in FMCG
  • Degree qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management or a related discipline
  • Six Sigma/Lean understanding is preferred
