Employee Relations Lead

About the Role:
As our Employee Relations Lead, you will be integral in upholding our values of integrity, fairness, and accountability. You will lead and oversee investigations into ethical misconduct (e.g., harassment, retaliation, discrimination), ensuring that processes are consistent, transparent, and compliant with both company guidelines and legal standards. Additionally, you'll be influential in nurturing a strong ethical culture by delivering training and providing expert guidance to leaders and employees.
This is a dynamic and impactful regional position, working closely with various internal stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Audit, and HR, as well as external legal advisors. You will report to the Head of HR Strategic Projects and serve as the secretary to the Ethics Committee, making this a role with significant visibility and influence.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and conduct confidential investigations into ethical misconduct across AEI and local markets.
  • Develop, harmonize, and maintain investigation processes and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure proper case handling and documentation.
  • Provide clear recommendations based on findings to support corrective actions.
  • Prepare reports and identify trends for senior leadership and relevant committees.
  • Design and deliver training on ethical behaviour and investigation best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor in sensitive situations and support conflict resolution.
  • Drive open communication and a strong tone from the top regarding ethical conduct.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in HR or Legal roles.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, corporate ethics, and governance practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex investigations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Experience with cross-country or international environments is highly desirable.
