Functional Overview 

ABS encompasses a broad range of financial activities designed to support businesses in their day-to-day financial operations, long-term planning, and compliance with regulations. These services are crucial for maintaining financial health, making informed decisions, and achieving the overall financial objectives of the organization.  The key outputs of ABS are to provide accounting services including the summarizing and reporting of financial transactions of a business, preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.  ABS is also responsible for adhering to multi-jurisdiction financial regulations and reporting requirements, including ensuring compliance with these regulations and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to relevant authorities. In addition to this, ABS is to use effectively use financial software and systems to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data security. 

 


Purpose of the role

The Finance Systems Manager is instrumental in strategizing, implementing, and optimizing financial software solutions within ABS. This role works with the CI, Regional Process Owners, and Market operation team to streamline financial processes, enhance system functionalities, and ensure the integrity and security of financial data.


Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee all financial applications used in Asahi, ensuring configurations, integrations, and interfaces work effectively.
  • Manage the monitoring of system performance and collaborate with IT or vendors to resolve escalated issues promptly.
  • Coordinate collaboration with finance teams, IT, and vendors to enhance systems.
  • Ensure training and maintenance of system documentation and manage assistance of users in effective system utilization.
  • Maintain data accuracy, analyze financial data, and create standardized reports and dashboards.
  • Responsible for identifying process efficiencies from a system perspective and implementing automation solutions and best practices.
  • Ensure finance systems comply with regulations and internal controls.


Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's/ master's degree or relevant certifications in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance, and accounting with a focus on implementing SAP FI.
  • Knowledge of Concur or Blackline is an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in shared services functions or within regional teams in a matrix environment is necessary.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or agile framework certifications are advantageous.
  • English and other European languages are advantageous.
