Main purpose of the job
Food regulatory specialist is responsible to provide a technical point of view to conduct comprehensive global regulatory compliance assessments by interpreting existing food and/or food contact material regulations at international level to ensure the compliance and a correct risk analysis approach to guarantee that our products comply with the different regulation and our quality criteria.
Provide expertise in establishing the best approach to assure compliance of the documents from suppliers and the best way to manage it, using the different tools that AEI offers to do so.
More specifically, you will be trusted to:
- Conduct regulatory and risk assessments of raw materials and food contact materials to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Manage projects related to raw materials and food contact materials across multiple regions to verify compliance.
- Monitor the regulation across the markets to ensure the constant updating of the legislation on raw materials and food contact materials that allows a management of internal change minimizing the impact on the markets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compliant business solutions.
- Provide support day-to-day regulatory activities within the department.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in regulatory documentation and communication from suppliers
- Support innovation, quality, supply, and procurement to conduct assessment regarding raw materials and food contact materials.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives regarding food compliance and new product development process
- Collaborate with Quality and procurement to have the documentation from supplier to assure compliance
- Responsible for ensuring the correct control of food regulatory requirements for supplier on the SAP platform
Do you have what it takes?
- Technical degree qualified in food science or other science degree: chemical, biology, ..
- Demonstrated 1 years of expertise in compliance procedures and a thorough understanding of necessary information required for conducting regulatory assessments of raw materials, food contact materials and foodstuffs and beverages on a global scale.
- Fluency in English. Knowledge of international regulation or proficiency in different language is advantageous
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems
- Experience with compliance reports, third party certification letter for compliance, and/or Document of conformity.
