PACKAGING INNOVATION & PPWR TASK FORCE LEAD
Duration: 3-5 years (First period 2024-2026, prolongation will be clarified after technical documentation is published)
Main purpose of the job
Lead the strategic development and implementation of Asahi Europe & International’s (AEI) Packaging & Sustainability Innovation agenda, focusing on significant growth across our markets to achieve AEI’s Better Future goals. Key project areas include leading the Plastic Packaging Waste Removal (PPWR) Task Force and developing scalable, sustainable packaging solutions that align with evolving consumer trends and regulatory requirements.
As Packaging Innovation & PPWR Task Force Lead, you will spearhead cross-functional teams, manage the 3-year innovation pipeline, and drive collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to execute high-impact packaging innovations and solutions.
More specifically, you will be trusted to:
Lead the PPWR Task Force
Oversee AEI’s Plastic Packaging Waste Removal efforts across markets, coordinating with executive leaders in Innovation, Growth, Corporate Affairs, and Supply Chain. Develop and manage the PPWR project plan, including strategy, milestones, budget (including CAPEX), and market alignment.
Drive Sustainable Packaging Innovation
Generate and develop sustainable packaging concepts in collaboration with Asahi Group’s R&D department, regulatory teams, and market innovation leaders. Manage innovation projects from idea generation to testing, ensuring alignment with AEI’s growth and sustainability ambitions.
Develop and Manage a 3-Year Innovation Pipeline
Create a scalable packaging innovation roadmap grounded in consumer insights, trend analysis, and regulatory compliance across AEI markets.
Deliver Impact Assessments & Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct detailed assessments within PPWR, identify opportunities and barriers, and prepare presentations for AEI Excom. Support markets with PPWR implementation, KPI monitoring, and stakeholder communications.
Do you have what it takes?
- University degree with 10+ years’ experience in project management, brand marketing, and/or innovation, preferably within FMCG
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Advanced project management and packaging innovation expertise
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills; English fluency required
- Demonstrated experience in sustainable packaging innovation and brand strategy
