REGIONAL HEAD OF COUNTRY OPERATIONS

This role can be located in any of our operating markets 

 

The main purpuse of the job is the following:

Manage a team of Country Heads of Procurement being responsible for the team performance and people management. Oversee and coordinate through the Country Heads of Procurement local Procurement organizations within ABEG ensuring the Procurement strategy is fully adhered to and successfully executed in the countries. Act as role model in stakeholder management and drive one team spirit across Procurement.

 

More specifically, you will be trusted to:

  • Manage a team of Procurement Country Heads aligned with Procurement`s strategy and vision. Be an advocate of Procurements sustainability agenda thriving our CSR. 
  • As a member of the Procurement Leadership Team, define functional goals and the Procurement strategy / governance while contributing to development & recognition of the function internally and externally.
  • Ensure Procurement country organization is set-up in-line with regionally defined operating model, develop and execute action plans to improve Procurement functions in countries aiming for standardization and operational / transactional excellence.
  • Promote one team spirit between countries and categories to enable best practices, synergies and leverage.
  • Build and enhance strong stakeholder relationship and strive for excellence in partnership.
  • Manage own functional budget in accordance with category strategy and as agreed with Head of Procurement.
  • Deliver against targets/KPI, monitor and track results, initiate actions in case of any deviations, communicate to stakeholders.
  • Monitor team adherence to defined governance, policies, and processes ensuring full compliance, address and mitigate deficiencies appropriately. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of Procurement functions in countries, cross-regional collaboration and Procurement transactions in general. Act as a change ambassador.

 

We are looking for:

  • University degree, preferably in Business related field (Master degree preferred) 
  • Proficiency in English
  • 10+ years of professional experience, whereof 5+ years in Procurement or Finance
  • International experience (accountability for delivering outcomes to/in different countries)
  • 5+ years of proven managerial experience
  • MS office advanced / Procurement platform/-s  experience
