Reporting Analyst

Job characteristics


This is a 2-year temporary contract (maternity cover).


Based in the Hub office, the Reporting Analyst will prepare monthly financial reporting and analysis for the region and be activeley involved in budgeting and forecasting processes. The role is also responsible for supporting the Reporting Manager in delivering selected key hub projects across the region and responding to queries from Asahi Group Finance.


Job specifics


Analysis and reporting

Delivery of month end reporting including:

• Maintenance of country flash reporting templates

• Liaising with the Hub team to review standard reporting output and recording relevant Hub adjustments

• Review of country submissions and production of initial draft of hub reports including insightful commentary and follow up with business units where required

• Ensuring data integrity: reviewing submissions and challenging markets by raising reporitng queries to deliver consistent and accurate submission to Asahi


Support Regional Reporting Manager in delivering Monthly and Quarterly Reporting pack and Budget Management report to Asahi

• Development of financial reporting templates in accordance with Asahi requirements and managing quarterly forecast and Budget plus 2 reporting processes

• Providing clear analysis of business performance and issues at country and total AEI level for forecasts and Budget plus 2

• Support Reporting Manager in delivery of regional instructions and regular communcation to markets



• Providing technical advice on accounting queries in accordance with IFRS

• Assist in various financial projects

• Ongoing system and process improvements

• Assisting Reporting Manager in executing and documenting internal controls and coordinating audit review process for both internal and external audit


Ideal candidate has


Academic background:

• Qualified Accountant ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

• At least 4 years of experience on a similar position

• Previous FMCG experience is an advantage

• Deep knowledge of IFRS

• Sound knowledge of financial reporting including consolidation

• Previous participation in cross-functional projects is an advantage

• Solid background in finance with strong analytical capabilities

• A high degree of computer literacy (Microsoft Office)&modelling

• Good attention to detail essential


Knowledge and Experience:

• Ability to liaise with people at all levels, including ability to work with senior management and non-finance colleagues

• A positive and proactive work ethic with a ‘Can Do’ attitude

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Quick learner with an ability to solve problems outside of their comfort zone

• Good organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workload appropriately

• Ability to work under tight deadlines

• Knowledge of Hyperion financial management is an advantage (HFM)
