The Warehousing Operations Lead provides functional leadership for optimizing current performance and developing future capabilities in the warehousing area across Asahi Europe & International. He or she will be also responsible for defining and coordinating strategic priorities and targets in AEI, providing leadership and expert support in their implementation.


Job specifics

  • Supports creation and implementation of a regional vision for SC operations with focus on warehousing. Determines AEI regional strategic priorities and initiatives in support of the warehousing KPIs, especially in the areas of warehouse service levels, warehousing costs, sustainability, H&S and Quality.
  • Oversees the execution of warehousing activities across AEI, ensuring attainment of the warehousing. In cooperation with other functions analyzes the performance issues and opportunities.
  • Oversees planning, prioritization and implementation of the key warehousing initiatives within and across the AEI markets. Support of the country-driven portfolio of initiatives and roll-out of the regional programs and procedures. Supports the development on the interface with manufacturing and interface with distribution.
  • Supports the IBP and budgeting processes in the warehousing area and ensures delivery against targets across the region. Ensures a continuous pipeline of improvement projects.
  • Supports development of the functional capabilities in the area of warehousing. Manages the network of the AEI warehousing professionals and facilitiates the best practice sharing.
  • Partners with the Procurement team and leads the regional thinking on the contracting of FLT fleet, workforce and picking & packing.
  • Partners with the IT team and provides input into the development of the technology platform in the area of warehousing processes. Coordinates functional inputs into the future technology landscape and leads the thinking on the digital and automation agenda.
  • Supports development of the talent pipeline and works with HR to provide trainings to support and drives a culture of performance and accountability, best practice sharing and inclusiveness.
  • Ensures implementation of the CO2 footprint ambition and other relevant aspects of the AEI sustainability agenda.
  • Liaises with the relevant stakeholders on the AEI regional and local level. Serves as a point person for international projects in the warehousing area.

Ideal candidate has

  • 5+ years of in a managerial position in distribution and warehousing
  • 7+ years of previous experience in distribution and warehousing in FMCG
  • Degree qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Management or a related discipline
  • Six Sigma/Lean understanding is preferred
