Cash Manager


Job characteristics


The Cash Manager  manage all cash, commodity and foreign exchange risk activities arising in relation to cross border exposures and brewing related commodity risk. In addition, the individual will be expected to manage regional and country cash management as well as day-to-day business liquidity requirements.


Attention to detail is key, along with the ability to explain complex issues in a clear manner, without the use of jargon. The individuals will be required to draw insights from financial market data and analysis of the FX and commodity markets to propose actions in order to reduce cost of goods volatility and drive business performance. Within the guideline of Group Treasury Policy, the individual will hedge the various exposures taking account of the volatility reduction versus the cost to hedge.


The priority for investments will be security of funds and then a review of yield opportunities.


Job specifics


1.            Manage the short-term liquidity of AEI. Critically reviewing entity cash forecasts, questioning variances, providing timely information to AGH and ensuring best use of funds

2.            Manage the FX hedging processes (cEUR650m pa), reviewing business forecasts, comparing exposures versus hedges and recommending hedging opportunities to minimize currency volatility within each business

3.            Support the management of the commodity risk management processes (cEUR85m pa portfolio), reviewing business forecast, comparing exposures versus hedges

4.            Supporting the core transaction flows for AEI in accordance with adopted policies and procedures

5.            Work with the businesses on cash forecasting accuracy and manage the liquidity/funding requirements

6.            Responsible for the groups bank counterparty risk and adherence to the policy

7.            Managing the operation of short-term funding requirements through the use of bank credit facilities and intercompany loans

8.            Production of ad-hoc as well as routine reporting and analysis for key stakeholders across the business in order to meet regulatory requirements. These stakeholders will range from Tax, Country FD and Group CFO.


Ideal candidate has


5years + experience of Front Office Treasury

ACT student preferable

Knowledge of bank relationships, foreign exchange and cash management

Knowledge of commodity risk management would be an additional benefit

An understanding of hedge accounting would be beneficial

Proven knowledge of a Treasury Management Systems (preferably IT2)

Strong excel skills.
