FINANCE ANALYST

Key purpose statement

  • To support key markets across EMEAA with financial analysis, insight, and advice, underpinned by strong financial acumen and a business partnering mind-set.
  • Management of key financial processes within branch markets of Sweden and Switzerland such as analysing and tracking investment decisions and spend management and tracking.
  • Support Finance Business Partners in management of marketing accrual and PO process.
  • Liaise with commercial team in Sweden market to support delivery of targets.
  • To be a key link in between Finance and Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations to help ensure accurate reporting and financial management.
  • To play a supportive role in the interaction with the Asahi Business Services (ABS), and the ongoing development of this relationship
  • To be an advocate for change, and financial process innovation and improvement, particularly in the rapidly developing branch markets.
  • To play an active role in assisting preparation of rolling forecasts.

 

Key Accountabilities

The Finance Analyst is responsible for but not limited to the following key outputs and accountabilities:

In Market Responsibilities

  • Support month end activities for a variety of markets, in particular Sweden.
  • Tracking and updating of investments in outlets.  Work with commercial teams to ensure our investments are on track.

Business Partnering and Commercial Management

  • Spend tracking, monitoring, and management.
  • Assisting in the preparation of management reports to support Finance Business Partners and country managers in decision making process.
  • Support tracking and management of marketing spend vs Budget, across all EMEAA markets.   

Management Reporting

  • Assist Finance Business Partners in the development of the EMEAA forecasts and Budgets, and the preparation of the presentation of forecasts to management.
  • Consolidation of market performance data.

Processes

  • Assisting the ongoing development of processes across both Finance and in Market, particularly linking in across Customer service and Supply Chain.
  • Ensuring clear and clean financial information for reporting purposes. Key link in with the ABS team.
  • Intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.

 

Experience required

  • The ideal candidate will be newly or part qualified (CIMA/ACCA), and of graduate calibre.
  • At the minimum you’ll have spent two years in a relevant roles including exposure to FP&A or commercial finance, analysing costs, understanding variances and providing commentary
  • Experience of a consumer goods company is advantageous, but not a requirement
  • Strong systems skills are a requirement, including SAP B1 and HFM

Technical:

  • Strong excel knowledge and capabilities including key data sortation formulas (SUMIF, V/H/XLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, etc.) and pivot tables.
  • Solid Powerpoint skills with the ability to create effective presentations.
