Main purpose of the job
Based in London and reporting to the Global Snr Marketing Manager, the Global Senior Brand Manager will support the development of our brand and commercial strategy and net revenue management strategy, as well as leading the growth strategies and annual plan process in partnership with emerging and nascent markets globally. In short, this marketer will support the development and adoption of the global Peroni Nastro Azzurro commercial strategy across all our categories and sales channels, turning our long-term strategy into practical commercial plans for execution.
We are looking for a marketer with a broad range of skills from category experience, to brand experience, to production experience, through to trade execution and commercial P&L understanding. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, be analytical and solution-focused in their approach, possess a natural flair for being proactive and are comfortable in challenging the status-quo with out-of-the-box and critical creative thinking. We encourage candidates to apply who have a high degree of empathy, knowledge of international markets, cultures and nuances, and someone who has an unwavering market/customer-mindset.
The final key responsibility is ownership of emerging markets, being a key business partner in the early stages of the brand’s growth.
More specifically, you will be trusted to:
- Support commercial strategy and vision development: this role will support the creation of compelling and insight led category growth plans – aligning the needs of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, our customers (markets) and consumers.
- Deliver global Price, Pack and Place strategy: supporting the delivery of our holistic PPA, net revenue strategy and distribution development. Using insight, data and technology tools to identify successful approaches to maximise overall revenue and profit in line with total brand strategy
- Develop and own country growth strategies & annual plans: for 10+ key markets/regions globally (in partnership with local teams)
- Act as Global Go-to-Market lead – partner with key markets to execute against Global Brand objectives with focus on local demand drivers.
- Deliver innovation strategy & implementation/commercialisation: Support the strategic development of innovation 12Q (3Y) plan, commercialising and implementing NPD end to end.
Do you have what it takes?
- 7+ years of professional experience, preferably in a FMCG/consumer goods organization.
- International experience required (not necessarily work related)
- Proficiency in English a must, Italian a benefit but not mandatory
- Strong analytical skills and ability to analyse large sets of data while drawing key summary insights & recommendations (essential)
- A good knowledge / understanding of retail channels & merchandising experience
- A good understanding of FMCG brand P&L + value chains
- Experience with data sets from providers (such as) Nielsen / Circana / Kantar / Dunnhumby.
- Should have a generalist marketing background with a strong commercial focus.
