Account Development Manager – Leased & Tenanted - East 

 

Asahi UK is currently looking for an Account Development Manager to join our sales team, working with our leased and tenanted customers across the East region. 

 

The Account Development Manager - Leased and Tenanted is responsible for driving targeted Leased & Tenanted tenure new draught distribution of our core global brands Peroni Nastro Azzurro and Asahi Super Dry as well as UK cask, cider and craft brands to support the overall growth and to contribute to the wider business goals. The role will be focussing on new business across leased and tenanted outlets across the East region, such as Cambridgeshire, Essex, and Northern Home Counties. 


The Account Development Manager will also deliver exceptional customer service, develop and maintain relationships with key leased & tenanted customers within a defined territory ensuring retention and organic Rate of Sale growth. 

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Responsible for managing key customer accounts to ensure retention and organic growth is delivered to meet KPIs, through regular visits and delivering exceptional customer service and activation at outlet level.
  • Responsibility for delivering Leased & Tenanted Draught Installation plans regionally and also nationally on a tactical basis in order to meet and exceed Mid Term Plan business targets and strategy.
  • Strict adherence of AUK’s outlet segmentation and targeting principles (by brand) in the free trade to protect brand equity long term.
  • New business must meet minimum rate of sale guidelines with a focus on maximising ROI through capex investment.
  • Establish process and approach to building continuous pipeline of new business and regular communication with key route to Leased & Tenanted Regional Managers and contacts.
  • Administrative and Draught Technical Installation tasks completed to a high standard in adherence with company procedures and systems.
  • Maintain the L&T account data base within our CRM system, producing regular reports for Regional Sales Manager & Director Of Sales
  • Build and maintain superior relationships with L&T Regional contacts to drive mutual business growth in line with Asahi L&T strategy and targets.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key L&T prospect customers and Multiple Retail Groups to identify new distribution opportunities.
  • Execute appropriate trade marketing activations in line with agreed joint business plans
  • The job involves extensive travel throughout a defined territory, as well as to the Head Office in Woking and other central meeting points.  There will be some evening and weekend working involved

 

Experience Required: 

 

  • Experience of working with brands, brand and category selling.
  • A track record of building superior customer relationships & building a strategic customer contact strategy and network.
  • Structured selling skills combined with strong drive and energy.
  • Ability to take the initiative, explore and deliver new business opportunities and influence at the point of purchase.
  • Demonstrates ability to target spend within customer portfolio to maximise ROI
  • Great communication skills coupled with a willingness to engage and deliver a super-premium agenda. 
  • Experience in working and collaborating with internal colleagues across different functions. 
  • Leased and Tenanted experience beneficial but not essential.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to adapt style and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A background in one of the following: FMCG Sales, On Trade sales
  • Strong brand, category selling and influencing skills.
  • Commercially astute, understands the key tradable variables that impact the P&L.
  • Analytical to use insight and data to drive strategic targeted new business.
  • Resilient and persistent.
  • Computer experience required (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams & PowerPoint). 
  • High energy levels and passion to thrive in a fast-moving target led environment. 
  • Strong drive & ambition to grow and develop within the business.
  • Inquisitive and focused on solutions to deliver strong results.
