LOCAL CATEGORY MANAGER CZ&SK (m/f)
We are looking for an experienced Local Category Manager with a strong focus on Supply Chain to lead a team and collaborate with regional and global procurement teams. This is a managerial position – you will have direct reports and work in an international environment, where English is essential.
What will you do?
- Lead and develop a procurement team focused on Supply Chain (mentoring, skills development, knowledge sharing).
- Work closely with regional and global procurement teams – procurement headquarters is based in Singapore.
- Strategically manage supplier relationships (Supplier Relationship Management) and ensure responsible procurement.
- Cooperate closely with the Supply Chain department to identify and implement innovations.
- Monitor internal customer feedback and contract fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
- Support and implement e-sourcing activities.
Who are we looking for?
- A senior manager with at least 5 years of experience in Procurement
- Proven experience in direct people management
- Previous experience with Supply Chain area
- Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and risks.
- Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of corporate processes.
- Fluent English – daily communication in an international environment.
- Czech or Slovak language at a native level.
- An open-minded approach to new technologies
Nice to have:
- Experience in the FMCG sector.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to build long-term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Experience with change management
