Local category manager

 

In our purchasing team at Plzeňský Prazdroj, we are looking for a skilled colleague for the position of Local Category Manager responsible for the Capex / Supply chain / Packaging area. The Category Manager is the main support for implementing sourcong strategies in the Czech and Slovak markets with the aim of achieving maximum efficiency and savings in the total costs spent on packaging, supply chain, and investment projects. They closely collaborate with regional purchasing managers and colleagues from the supply chain and production departments.

 

Job description:

•    Collaboration with the regional category management / purchasing team
•    Leading a team of purchasing and sourcing specialists in the Czech and Slovak Republic
•    Development and implementation of sourcing strategies, setting KPIs and control mechanisms for successful implementation of regional and local strategies
•    Support and implementation of supplier selection
•    Classification and categorization of suppliers, defining guidelines/rules for evaluating and auditing suppliers
•    Support for supplier development activities, organizing evaluation meetings to increase cooperation efficiency and reduce costs
•    Implementation of new contracts at the local level
•    Monitoring feedback and contract fulfillment from internal customers
•    Building relationships with internal customers and suppliers, identifying opportunities to reduce overall costs
•    Close collaboration with the supply chain department
•    Identification and implementation of innovations in assigned areas
•    Implementation and support of e-sourcing activities

 

Requirements:

•    University degree
•    At least 3 years of sourcing experience required
•    Orientation in the supply chain area
•    Experience in team leadership
•    Excellent analytical skills, understanding of business and corporate processes
•    Strategic thinking, ability to identify opportunities and risks
•    Fluent knowledge of Czech and English languages

•    Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal customers and suppliers, proactive approach
