Head of Digitalization and Project Management

Location: Hungary, Budapest

 

About the Position:

This role plays an important role in driving the company's digital transformation strategy. Responsible for the day-to-day management and effective operation of all digital projects from concept to delivery, this role conceptualizes, executes, and implements innovative digital solutions as per the envisioned digitalization strategy.

 

What will be your responsibilities:

 

Existing system upgrade (when it comes)

  • Lead the system upgrade and migration, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize and optimize SAP functionalities.
  • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle in the market based on collaboration with the regional team, from planning to post-implementation support.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring delivery timelines, budgets, and project scope are met.

Digitalization & AI Implementation:

  • Design and execute a digital transformation roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Assess digital maturity and identify opportunities to enhance operations, customer experiences, and competitiveness.
  • Foster digital innovation across departments and integrate new technologies, moreover identify opportunities for process optimization and automation using digital tools. Stay updated on emerging digital trends and technologies.
  • Integrate digital solutions with existing IT infrastructure to maximize efficiency.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors to ensure cost-effective and timely implementation of digital initiatives.

 

Master Data Harmonization:

  • Develop and execute a master data management strategy to harmonize data across systems and business units for consistency and accuracy.
  • Standardize data definitions and practices to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand data requirements and drive continuous data quality improvement initiatives.

 

Managing Local Project Portfolio:

  • Manage a portfolio of projects, prioritizing based on business needs, resource and strategic value.
  • Implement project management methodologies to monitor progress, risk, and performance across multiple projects.
  • Update key stakeholders on project status and collaborate with internal teams to implement digital projects.
  • Review project resources to ensure they meet demands of the project.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor project managers and team members, moreover create a collaborative and high-performing project management culture.

 

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Lead change management to drive adoption of digital technologies and new ways of working.
  • Provide regular updates to the leadership team and key stakeholders on digital transformation progress, keymilestones, and risks.
  • Train and empower employees to adapt to new digital tools and systems for successful integration.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Digital Applications or Project Management or similar field.
  • Min 5-7 years of relevant work experience, including leadership experience.
  • Experience managing large and complex (digital) projects, experience in project reporting and relating documentation
  • Effective people leadership and management skills
  • Fluent English and Hungarian
  • Thorough knowledge of Hungarian taxation and financial regulations

  • Project Management: Strong ability to manage complex digital and system integration projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of SAP systems, digitalization strategies, AI tools, and master data management.
  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing diverse stakeholders, and driving change in a large organization.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. (Hungarian and English as well).
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering practical, scalable solutions.
  • Change Management: Ability to lead teams through significant changes, focusing on the impact of digitalization and system integrations on staff and processes.
