Material Planner
About the Position:
The purpose of this role is to ensure continuous material supply on a cost-effective basis by adhering to our supply planning processes in line with our local and regional goals. As part of our supply planning team, the material planner plays a key role in achieving cost and efficiency targets in our operations and supply chain.
What will be your responsibilities:
- Prepare short, mid- and long-term forecasts based on the production plans to suppliers and support budget planning
- Update monthly MRP (Long-term plan) submission (support Hedging process)
- Create orders to suppliers and follow up deliveries
- Daily contact with suppliers / follow up production changes with material plans
- Monitor material warehouse capacities, minimize excess and obsolete
- Ensure continuous production with material supply (follow up discrepancies in deliveries, and support complain process internally)
- Record/maintain material master data into SAP
- Ensure Global KPI process is kept as per standard (supplier performance, etc.)
- Support new product development process (create phase-out plan of old components while ensuring new materials availability on time)
Requirements:
- Bsc or Msc degree (preferably economics or logistics)
- Minimum 2-year relevant experience
- Experience in purchasing and material planning is preferable
- Experience in planning software or SAP MRP is an advantage
- Fluency in English and Hungarian is a must
- Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel (knowledge of PowerBI and SQL database is an advantage)
