Role Overview:

The ISC Performance Manager is responsible for coordinating the development and execution of a comprehensive operational performance management and continuous improvement strategy, aligned with the Asahi Way, across all

breweries and the broader supply chain organization.

They drive organizational success by fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
This role also leads and oversees the systematic implementation of the Effective Work pillar, acting as the owner of both Policy Deployment and Loss Deployment processes.

 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Performance Management

  • Develops and deploys performance improvement strategies aligned with 1-year and 3-year business goals (KPI tree, SWOT, loss analysis, strategic action plans).
  • Leads the implementation of the Asahi Way Management System (Lean) across ISC to drive SQDCME performance and eliminate losses.
  • Owns policy deployment and loss deployment processes; ensures periodic benchmarking and integration of best practices across sites.

 

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies and implements cost-effective, efficiency-enhancing solutions based on zero-loss, best-in-class benchmarks, and technological limits.
  • Builds and deploys the ISC Performance Roadmap in line with regional and country priorities, supporting the implementation of Asahi Way pillars.
  • Supports the Value Engineering pipeline and continuously challenges maturity vs. performance targets.

 

Performance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Drives structured performance routines (SIM, pre-flash, quarterly reviews, MCRS).
  • Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators, simplifies monitoring systems, and highlights opportunities for improvement.

 

Effective Work Pillar Implementation

  • Leads deployment and capability-building for the Effective Work (EW) Pillar, including loss deployment, problem solving, and training plans.
  • Validates competencies of key users (champions) and ensures knowledge transfer across sites.

 

Coaching & Capability Development

  • Coaches senior management, functional teams, and operational staff on performance management and process excellence.
  • Trains and mentors operational teams to foster high engagement, participation, and SME development in Asahi Way practices.

 

Asahi Way Maturity & Compliance

  • Manages maturity assessments, identifies performance gaps, and mitigates risks in line with Asahi Way standards.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of regional and local Asahi Way programs.

 

Stakeholder Engagement

 

  • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on performance goals and initiatives.
  • Communicate performance results and insights effectively.

 

Productivity Agenda

  • Leads the ISC productivity roadmap, deploying routines for progress tracking and adjustment.
  • Provides coaching and guidance to ensure alignment and momentum on productivity initiatives.

 

 

 

Requirements (must have):

  • 5+ years Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain experience as line leadership and proven experience within a continuous improvement environment.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies in relation to operational performance (e.g. Loss Deployment, Driving System, Performance and Leadership Routines).
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/food technology/supply chain qualification

 

Requirements (nice to have):

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma or another structured continuous improvement methodology.
  • Experience in multi-site or regional performance management roles.
  • Familiarity with the Asahi Way or similar operational excellence frameworks (e.g., WCM, TPM).
  • Proficiency with performance management tools and platforms (e.g., KPI dashboards, SIM tools, MCRS systems).
