Role Overview:

This role provides key Control and Automation Engineering services aligned with ISC (breweries and supply chain) needs, focusing on automation strategy, project execution, OT cybersecurity, and IT/OT integration. Responsibilities include driving productivity, enhancing automation, standardizing practices, and implementing best practices in automation, asset care, and risk management.

The role also supports the AEI strategy and ensures policies are effectively applied across ISC. It covers all manufacturing hardware and software related to SCADA, industrial networks, cybersecurity, and real-time data systems, supporting manufacturing efficiency and data integration.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop medium- to long-term (3-10 years) roadmaps for process automation, operating technology, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity, including CapEx for system replacements and business case development.
  • Integrate OT roadmap with brewing, packaging, utilities, and warehouse automation initiatives according to CapEx and productivity plans.
  • Innovate solutions to reduce workload in production and warehouses, contributing to productivity increases.
  • Lead the community of automation engineers within ISC, fostering strong collaboration with manufacturing and supply chain systems managers.
  • Manage projects and provide robust support for automation implementations in breweries and ISC, covering both field and system aspects.
  • Implement Historian systems across all breweries and ensure compatibility with process monitoring systems.
  • Drive the execution of major projects and initiatives, such as NIS 2.
  • Oversee assets management, establish change management processes, coordinate incident management, and promote shared learning and value engineering for CapEx, operational costs, and continuous improvement.
  • Support AEI initiatives and contribute to standards development and implementation at the AEI level.
  • Lead risk mitigation planning, balancing operational risks with running costs.
  • Assess automation engineers’ competencies, providing solutions for skill enhancement through training or recruitment.
  • Ensure data and control network security, safety, and reliability, managing licenses and external service providers to prevent employee safety risks, regulatory breaches, confidentiality losses, production disruptions, and economic impacts.
  • Ensure compliance of new or upgraded equipment with existing regulations, internal standards, and compatibility with manufacturing monitoring systems.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable legislation, EU directives, and AEI/AGH standards.

 

 

Requirements (must have):

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Automation and Control (C&A) or IT-related field.
  • Education and experience in OT networking and cybersecurity.
  • Over 3 years of experience working with automation processes in the FMCG sector.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a matrix organization.
  • Experience managing investment projects.
  • Skilled in preparing feasibility studies and developing business cases for investment projects.

 

Knowledge and Competencies:

  • In-depth understanding of control systems and technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage, persuade, and influence stakeholders, and to present complex information concisely.
  • Proficient in building strong relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Effective organizational and planning abilities; self-motivated and proactive.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to manage changing situations, tasks, people, and priorities.
  • Proficiency in English.
