SALES FINANCIAL ANALYST

Role Overview:
Proactively support and challenge constructively the Sales department, ensuring alignment between sales strategies and financial goals to drive profitability and growth. Generate insightful analysis with a total business mindset to drive profitable decisions in the business. Manage financial input of the function into the long-term strategic financial business plan, the annual budget and forecasts.
Responsibilities:
- Business Partnering, Challenger: overlay business performance reports with detailed analyses, facilitating the development of financial insights for enhanced decision-making within the Sales team leadership. Understand the commercial drivers and trends behind business performance to enable an insightful contribution in financial review meetings and relevant decision-making forums. Communicate this in an effective manner to the function.
- Financial Analysis and Advisory: Provides financial performance insights and recommendations to Sales leadership team, including customer commercial performance and identifies potential growth opportunities or risks through monitoring and assessment of 'terms of trade' including verification of 'proof of service delivery'. Review actual financial performance with functional head/managers to understand drivers of performance and ensure any risks or opportunities are identified and communicated to relevant stakeholders with prompt interventions/action plans in place.
- Decision support: Support decision process achieved through tracking of customer financial performance by brand/pack and based on the business priorities, drive and support initiatives for improving the customer profitability, analysing cost/benefit ratios for specific trade investments and suggesting strategies for efficient resource utilization.
- Management Reporting: Support the monthly Flash process, ensuring the accurate and transparent financial management of Sales activities. Support the month-end closing process by handling specific channel discounts and accruals while providing insightful explanations for costs behaviour. Collaborate with the FP&A team to design effective commercial reporting and assist in the continuous improvement of financial/internal controls.
- Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Reporting: Play a vital role in budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with company rules and deadlines and financial goals with overall company objectives. Provide support to Sales budget owners for budgeting/forecasting various spend categories, such as: terms of trade, promotional discounts, fixed costs.
- Monitoring and Supporting Proper Corporate Controls: Ensure compliance with legal and fiscal requirements, overseeing spend estimation, purchase orders, invoice processing, payments, and re-classification of marketing charges.
Requirements:
- Degree-level education (or equivalent) in relevant subject area (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics).
- 2-3 years in commercial finance or revenue management roles with focus on top line analyses.
- Advanced verbal & written proficiency in English.
- Experience in Romania FMCG industry needed.
