SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT TRAINEE

Main purose of the role:
SD Intern will contribute and support SD Manager & SD Specialist in implementing SD strategy related projects. 
SD Intern will provide support in implementation of various sustainability projects, to build company’s ongoing commitment  in becoming a more sustainable, environmentally-friendly and socially responsible. Projects examples – support for:  CSRD and non-financial reporting, implementation of volunteering activities, implementation of internal Alcohol Policy, Digital Guiding Principle Policy, external Responsible Alcohol programs, with particular focus on desprealcool.ro platform and others. 
  
Your principals responsibilities are:
•    Support in keeping the relation with internal stakeholders in order to make sure that the SD agenda is communicated inside the organization (Identify topics for newsletters, contribute with content to internal events such as Town Hall or workshops). Collaborates with Internal Communication team to support the internal communication strategy deployment in the organization and the implementation of employees ‘engagement plan from sustainability perspective (e.g. employees’ charities, volunteering etc.). 
•    Supports SD Manager in deployment of UB sustainability strategy and its coordinated implementation and communication to relevant audiences (both internal & external). 
•    Support in keeping the relation with external stakeholders in order to make sure that the SD agenda is communicated outside the organization. Works with External Communication team to validate external communication of sustainability strategy (Contributes to press releases, proposes Social Media posts, etc)
•    Supports SD team in working with all departments (Integrated Supply Chain, Procurement, Marketing and other functions etc.) to integrate business responsibility and environmental sustainability into business operations & planning. Use every opportunity (e.g. monthly update meetings) to improve own knowledge and identify potential communication topics.
•    Supports SD Manager in relation to NGOs partnerships that are directly linked with Corporate Affairs activity. 
•    Support the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) company’s plan (for example, works with external agencies to reflect company position in desprealcool.ro content)
•    Contribute to studies, researches and reports on CSR trends, policy and competitive best practices in order to identify program gaps and business or legislative trends that could shape the program. 
•    Keeps updated with basic legislation related to sustainability (on the area of CO2 emissions, packaging recycling, etc).

We are looking for:
•    University degree (preferably in the area of Environment, Sustainability)
•    Proficiency in English
•    Experience in sustainability related activities (incl. NGO, volunteering) would be a plus.
•    Good understanding of global sustainability challenges
•    Medium level knowledge of MS Office (XLS, Word, PPT, Outlook) 
•    Social Media knowledge is considered a plus.
